19th Sils Art and Literary Tour Days: Cultural hike to Maloja

Hike from the town square of Sils Maria via the hamlet of Isola to Maloja. Walk in Segantini's footsteps through the town and its surroundings. Along the way, participants will learn exciting and entertaining facts about the town's tourism history and what was once the largest hotel in the Alps. They will also gain insights into the natural history of the landscape around Maloja, which was shaped by the Ice Age. Picnic outdoors, followed by coffee and cake in the Hotel Schweizerhaus, accompanied by stories about some of the hotel's illustrious guests. Sigmund Freud was one of them. We will find out why his guest book entry, discovered in 2006, caused a small earthquake in Freud research. Reservation: Participation only with prior registration.
