Winter video:
Experience Winter on Top of the World

WATCH VIDEO

For this year’s winter video, we’ve created a Romansh voiceover version. Romansh, also called Rhaeto-Romanic, is Switzerland’s fourth national language besides German, French and Italian and is spoken in the Swiss canton of Grisons, where the Engadin valley – and St. Moritz – is located. Around 60 000 people speak Romansh, which exists in five different written and spoken forms. In the Upper Engadin, the puter dialect is predominant, while in the Lower Engadin, vallader is widely spoken.

Derived from Latin, Romansh is closely related to Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese. Though it is a minority language, it is actively used in daily life and in schools across the Engadin.
