Water sports

Fascination on the Engadin mountain lakes.

Together with the four large waters of the Upper Engadin lake landscape, we count over 90 lakes in and around St. Moritz. Large and small alpine lakes, hidden in the forest, surrounded by boulders, shimmering blue, green or turquoise. A paradise for water rats and all leisure and sports activities in, on and around the water.

Stand Up Paddle

The water mirror-smooth and quiet, surrounded by untouched nature – mornings on the board gliding across the Engadin mountain lakes is especially idyllic. Stand-up-paddle-boarding has become the sport of craze of the last few years. Feet stand hip's width apart on the board with knees slightly bent and the paddle moving rhythmically, requiring balance and every muscle. SUP simply belongs to summer in the Engadin.

Sailing

Sailing regattas in the height of summer? The Maloja wind makes it possible. On beautiful summer days, the wind starts to blow around mid-day and ensures the perfect conditions for sailing. Highlights of the sailing season on Lakes St. Moritz and Silvaplana are the Swiss, European and sometimes World Championships for dinghies and lasers. The sailing school offers the best preparation for these competitions. The school also helps prepare participants for the sailing exam, which can be taken on site. In addition, sailing and rowing boats are available for rent, and accompanied yacht rides can be taken there as well.
