Matinee with Rudolf Lutz, Dr. Arthur Godel and Dr. Mirella Carbone as part of the Sils Art and Literature Tour Days

Three artistic forms of expression converge: The contemplation of Segantini's three major thematic paintings is accompanied by literary texts and musical improvisations in the style of the period. Segantini's pantheism finds an echo in Rilke, the fin-de-siècle atmosphere in Hofmannsthal, and the hope for the power of nature and the mountains in earthy folk music. The "music of silence" (Segantini) and "a morning radiance that comes from the dark mountains" (Nietzsche) meet.

Mirella Carbone directs the audience's attention to individual elements of the paintings. The musician Rudolf Lutz reflects on them improvisationally on the keyboard, and Arthur Godel recites excerpts from texts by Segantini's literary contemporaries. A unique artistic dialogue in which the audience is also involved.

Afterwards, there is an opportunity to visit the summer exhibition "I drink from this purest spring, where beauty is eternally renewed…" at the Segantini Museum.
