Chasing curves
Roads have long curves, short curves, tight curves, steep curves. Sometimes hairpin bends and switchbacks, double and triple curves. Stefan Bogner, photographer and founder of the magazine "Curves," knows them all. Here is a selection of his photos of Alpine passes around St. Moritz.
“A curve is the most sensual connection between two points – and, in a sense, also the most realistic. Anyone who sets a goal will almost never achieve it taking the shortest route. If all our wishes came at once, we would feel cheated. Driving teaches us to be present. And those who are present are happy.”
Photographer Stefan Bogner seems to have found this happiness – and has been doing so since 2011. That’s when he published his first Curves magazine. Since then, he has travelled countless roads around the world, capturing adventures in his magazines and books. One of his favourite areas is St. Moritz – and for good reason: the surrounding Alpine passes offer a wealth of spectacular perspectives.
