Rotary Club St. Moritz

The Rotary Club of St. Moritz was founded on 31 August 1926 at the Kulm Hotel St. Moritz, making it the eighth Rotary Club in Switzerland. Since then, the club has been committed to fostering friendship, professional exchange and community service in the Engadin and beyond.

Today, the club brings together around 60 members from the Upper Engadin, Val Poschiavo and Val Bregaglia. Throughout its 100-year history, the club has supported numerous charitable and community projects through member contributions, fundraising activities and volunteer engagement.

Supporting the Community

Over the decades, the Rotary Club St. Moritz has contributed to a wide range of local and international initiatives, including:

  • Support for cultural and tourism projects in Val Bregaglia following the Pizzo Cengalo landslide.
  • Support for ROKJ, helping children and young people from financially disadvantaged families in Southern Grisons.
  • Numerous hands-on environmental and community projects throughout the Engadin.
  • Support for humanitarian initiatives abroad, including a street kitchen project in Bangkok and educational projects in Laos.

Founded in Chicago in 1905, Rotary is a global network of people committed to creating positive and lasting change. Today, more than 1.2 million Rotarians in over 200 countries contribute their time, expertise and resources to humanitarian, educational and community projects worldwide. The Rotary motto remains as relevant today as it was a century ago:«Service Above Self»

100 Years of Rotary in St. Moritz

In 2026, the Rotary Club St. Moritz celebrates its 100th anniversary, marking a century of friendship, service and engagement for the benefit of the local community and beyond.

Rotary Club St. Moritz and the Ski Week

The European ISFR Ski Week 2027 continues a long-standing Rotary tradition of friendship, international exchange and community spirit. Hosted by the Rotary Club St. Moritz, the event brings together Rotarians from across Europe to share memorable experiences in the unique alpine setting of the Engadin while supporting charitable initiatives such as ROKJ.
