Steinbacher and von Wienhardt at the Engadin Festival 2026
Janine Jansen has had to cancel her performance at the Engadin Festival due to health reasons. The Engadin Festival would have loved to welcome her to the Engadin this summer and wishes her a speedy and full recovery. The Engadin Festival is in contact with her and is looking for a date for next year. Arabella Steinbacher has been secured at short notice for the concert in St. Moritz on August 2nd. She is an internationally acclaimed artist and one of the most influential violinists of her generation. Her exceptionally broad repertoire and the combination of virtuosity with depth and warmth are her hallmarks. Arabella Steinbacher is already very familiar with the Engadin: in 2024, she gave a brilliant performance at the opening concert in Pontresina. Now, together with the renowned pianist Peter von Wienhardt, she will present a vibrant program featuring works by George Gershwin, Manuel de Falla, Sergei Prokofiev, Richard Strauss, and others. We are convinced that this concert will be an unforgettable highlight of the festival. Tickets already purchased remain valid.
