The municipality of La Punt Chamues-ch and La Punt Ferien cordially invite locals and guests to the traditional August 1st celebration.
Enjoy a festive summer evening with speeches, musical performances, a communal cervelat barbecue, and a convivial gathering.
Program
8:00 p.m. - Opening with alphorn music by Sunatübas Crasta 8:10 p.m. - Official ceremony
- Welcome address by Peter Tomaschett, Mayor
- Address by Roman Hug, Member of the National Council
- Singing of the national anthem 8:45 p.m. - Concert with Cinzia Regensburger, Prix Walo winner
In case of bad weather, the August 1st celebration will take place in the marquee.
La Punt Ferien is giving every child a lantern for August 1st! The free lanterns can be picked up from the Tourist Information office starting Monday, July 20, 2026 – while supplies last.
Setting off fireworks is prohibited within the municipality of La Punt Chamues-ch.
