35th Anniversary Celebration of the Alphorn Ensemble Engiadina St. Moritz
The Alphorn Ensemble Engiadina St. Moritz celebrates 35 years with a free concert in the garden of Hotel Laudinella during the Sunday brunch.
Alphorn sounds for an anniversary
Since 1991, the Alphorn Ensemble Engiadina St. Moritz has inspired audiences in the Engadin, throughout Switzerland and worldwide. For its 35th anniversary, the ensemble presents a festive concert of traditional alphorn music.
Programme
Under the musical direction of Ruedi Birchler, the ensemble combines classic alphorn pieces with waltzes, marches, polkas and works by Rossini, Verdi and Brahms. The 3.5-metre-long alphorn, the Swiss national instrument, is at the centre of the performance.
Setting
The concert takes place in the garden of Hotel Laudinella as part of the Sunday brunch; in bad weather it moves to the hotel lobby bar. Admission is free.
