Galerie Curtins
Gallery owner Franz Rödiger is a long-standing connoisseur of local artistic creations. As a trained restorer, he worked for decades in the churches of the Engadine. He soon established friendships with artists in the region through his profession and as an art expert. In 1975 he founded the Galerie Curtins in St. Moritz.
The gallery's program of local artists such as Ursina Vinzens, Jacques Guidon, Alberto Giacometti and others were all inspired by the Engadine scenery; reflecting the close friendships that link the gallery owner and the artists. The changing exhibitions also showcase international art of different styles such as expressionist and abstract painting. For Rödiger, the important thing is the relationship the purchaser develops with the work.
