For some it means a journey back in time to their own childhood, for others it is something like the "sound of the prairie": the soundtrack to the Winnetou films based on Karl May´s adventure novels. The German composer Martin Böttcher (1927 - 2019) created the music for a total of ten films starring Pierre Brice and Lex Barker and contributed significantly to their great success, especially to that of "Treasure in Silver Lake": A single with the Old Shatterhand melody, the famous main theme with the great recognition value, was sold over 100,000 times after the release of the film in 1962. Record on, sound off - and back are the memories of the overwhelming cinema experience and the noble adventures of the two Wild West heroes Old Shatterhand and Winnetou! The Kammerphilharmonie Graubünden dedicates itself to this legendary film music and plays it live to the original film. Ludwig Wicki, an absolute expert in film music, will be on the podium.
