Stand-up paddling (SUP) is currently a megatrend worldwide. But nothing new: in Polynesia, South America and Africa, for example, people moved around standing on water 3000 years ago - to fish or stalk the enemy silently. From the beginning of July OVAVERVA will be offering courses in the sister sport "Floating Fitness". With floating fitness, fun is in the foreground, combined with physical fitness. Various exercises are carried out on a floating mat under guidance. Due to the wobbly base, balance is always required during all strength and fitness exercises, and thus the entire trunk and leg muscles are trained.
Guests can find out for themselves about this new offer at the OVAVERVA Aqua Sports Day on 23 June. In addition to floating fitness, various other water sports at OVAVERVA can be tried out. For example baby swimming for the little ones, swimming courses for children, mermaid swimming, aqua fit and technique training. The detailed programme is online at www.ovaverva.ch -> News & Specials.
OVAVERVA also opens its new "Hall of Fame" on the occasion of Aqua Sports Day. Various athletes who trained at OVAVERVA have been staged and photographed by Pontresina photographer Gian Giovanoli. These large-format pictures will be on display from 23 June 2019 in the Hall of Fame at OVAVERVA.
