For some it means a time travel into their own childhood, for others it is something like the "sound of the prairie": the soundtrack to the Winnetou films based on Karl May´s adventure novels. The German composer Martin Böttcher (1927-2019) created the music for a total of ten films with Pierre Brice and Lex Barker in the leading roles and contributed significantly to their great success, especially to that of "The Treasure in Silver Lake": A single with the Old Shatterhand melody, the famous main theme with the great recognition value, was sold more than 100,000 times after the film was released in 1962. Record up, sound down - and back are the memories of the overwhelming cinematic experience and the noble adventures of the two Wild West heroes Old Shatterhand and Winnetou! The Kammerphilharmonie Graubünden dedicates itself to this legendary film music and plays it live to the original film. Ludwig Wicki, an absolute expert in film music, will be on the podium.
