St. Moritz Running Festival: Race for the Cure Swiss

She died of breast cancer in 2021. Her legacy: improving breast cancer care in the Engadin and motivating everyone to exercise.

This year, too, the proceeds from the run and other donations will go to the Engadin nurse who is successfully completing her two-year additional training as a breast care nurse.

A breast care nurse accompanies patients from the time of their breast cancer diagnosis (today, one in eight women in Switzerland develops breast cancer) to the various specialists and is also available to answer questions that you might not dare to ask the doctor. Our future breast care nurse is from the Engadin and speaks all three languages (German, Italian, and Romansh) of the Engadin and the southern valleys. Being able to express yourself in your native language builds trust and helps break down barriers.

Before the run: 4 p.m. free yoga lesson with SOL CAROU, 5:20 p.m. warm-up with music. After the race: Get-together with pasta, 5:30–7:30 p.m. concert by "Dog on the Feet.
