St. Moritz Design Gallery: “Petrol, Peaks, and Progress”
Right in the heart of St. Moritz, mobility history comes to life: The St. Moritz Design Gallery in the Serletta parking garage presents an impressive exhibition in 31 large-format, illuminated display cases along the escalator towards the lake.
The Summer Exhibition 2025 is dedicated to “100 Years of Automobility in Graubünden.” Under the title “Petrol, Peaks, and Progress,” historical photographs illustrate how the automobile has shaped St. Moritz and the Engadin since 1925 – from the early days of individual motorized transport and the momentum of the postwar era to today’s everyday mobility. The arrival of cars transformed not only the roadscape but also the appearance of villages, the soundscape, and our relationship with the surrounding alpine environment.
