Plazza da Scoula 14, St. Moritz

Architecture walk - open doors in the Engadin and Bergell

In 1996/97, the library was incorporated into the former fire station in the St. Moritz school building. The lending library is housed on the ground floor behind the large glass and metal fronts. Next to the entrance area with the reception and lending area there is a reading corner, and to the right is the children's and youth library. In the back there is a small reading room and the actual reading room with the adult library. This room is defined by its two vaults and extends over two floors. The documentation library is in the upper, separate vaulted part of the room and can be reached via the old staircase. The vault formations are particularly present here. The window glazing with its etched text extracts deserves special attention. The texts from world literature were selected by Iso Camartin.

During opening hours.

The exhibition "The Sun of St. Moritz. A Logo Brought to Light" can be seen in the library.
