NOMAD has renewed its commitment to bring historical and significant spaces for the city to life, transforming them into a stage of beauty and experimentation for a selection of artists and designers shaping the future. Works, concepts, attitudes, processes, and forms abound in a state of continual becoming. NOMAD has always created a dialogue with a specific location— or space—this location is in a state of transformation and change, in an interstitial phase, and a moment of architectural regeneration. Nothing is fixed in a worksite; everything is in flux, open to interpretation and experimentation; possibilities are endless. It is a locus of culture, cross-pollination, the interweaving of art and design, nature and culture. NOMAD transforms every location in a suite of site-specific exhibitions. Some galleries will bring finished projects, while others will create them on site. Art, design, and research are brought into dialogue with historically significant urban settings, entering into a temporary relationship of cohabitation and production.
