Jazz Festival: Ursina
Between longing and freedom – Ursina’s sound combines pop, folk and Romansh roots.
Delicate fanfares, a marching rhythm, and sweeping melodies begin. Ursina's voice weaves itself into the music, and by the end, we find ourselves on a flight through a story that promises both longing and freedom. The Graubünden-born singer and songwriter writes songs that have the flavor of pop and the backbone of folk, influenced by the musical moods of the north and the melancholy of Romansh folk music. Ursina sings in English and occasionally in her native Romansh.
