Christmas Special: Music@ concert with the Band Armstrong's Ambassadors

By the second half of the 1940s, the popularity of big bands had begun to wane. In response to this, Louis Armstrong´s manager Joe Glaser formed what must be the most well-known Dixieland group of all time - Louis Armstrong and his Allstars. This sextet spent the next twenty years delighting the world with their high-energy take on both the early jazz repertoire and songs from stage and screen. In addition, the band, made countless film and television appearances as well as recording hundreds of live and studio tracks, including such worldwide hits as Mack the Knife, Hello Dolly! And What A Wonderful World. Armstrongs Ambassadors do not set out to recreate the original down to the last semi-quaver, rather to present the style of the band whilst of course including wellknown phrases and vignettes.
