Augusto Giacometti (1877-1947), known as "Il maestro dei colouri", was an important Swiss painter in the wake of Art Nouveau and an innovator of stained glass.

His most important works in public spaces include the painting of the Zurich police station ("Blüemlihalle") and his sacred stained glass windows in Zurich (Grossmünster, Fraumünster, Wasserkirche, Pauluskirche) and elsewhere.

Giacometti created his first stained glass window in 1914 for St Martin's Church in Chur. This was later followed by the stained glass windows in Küblis (1921), Kosters (1928) and Davos (1925 - 1927), among others. To mark the 147th anniversary of Giacometti's birth, Walter Isler will lead a tour of his stained glass windows in Zuoz from 1929 and 1933. This church and cultural tour will be enriched with organ music. Jürg Stocker will be playing the organ. The event starts in front of the reformed church of San Luzi Zuoz (main church in the centre of the village) at 10:00 am. End of the event at approx. 11:15 am.
