Songs and stories by the most famous Swiss writer who did not write in one of our national languages.

Alfonsina Storni (1892-1938) emigrated to Argentina at the age of four. Her parents hoped for a better life than in Ticino. The plan did not work, but Alfonsina Storni was a "modern woman" and made her way as a journalist, storyteller, theater woman and poet. She is the most famous Swiss author who did not write in one of our national languages.

Hildegard Keller translated Storni's work and wrote her biography (Edition Maulhelden). Gry Knudsen, soprano and folk singer, and Hans Wäber, accordionist and composer, transform Alfonsina Storni's poems into songs.
